Y STRONG KIDS ANNUAL CAMPAIGN

Many families in our community can’t do it alone. Through our efforts locally, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of children – one child, one teen, and one family at a time.

In 2010, the YMCA-YWCA of Greater Victoria has adopted the national Y Strong Kids Campaign replacing Partners With Youth. This campaign will fund all of the same great programs and services provided by the Y. Branding nationally with Y Strong Kids simply provides us with media and on-line opportunities that will help to strengthen our campaign.

Local campaign kick off day is Thursday April15th, 2010!!

By giving to the Y Strong Kids Campaign, you can …

• Help a family stay active and healthy with a YMCA-YWCA membership
• Develop and grow a child’s self esteem and confidence from experiencing Y Camp Thunderbird
• Give youth a chance to build leadership skills in a meaningful environment
• Connect families to safe, high quality child care
• Provide support, counselling, and transitional housing for young moms and their babies
• Assist important Y Outreach Programs for at-risk youth

To make a donation:

• Donate online at the Y Strong Kids web site
• Fill out a Pledge Form and mail or drop off to the Downtown Branch
• Drop by the Downtown Branch and make a donation in person.

You will have the satisfaction of knowing you’ve made an investment with a real return on every dollar.

You can also help by making any one of the following gifts:

• A bequest in your will
• A life insurance policy benefit
• An annuity, trust or other individual-interest gift
• A dedicated memorial fund
• An outright gift of cash or other assets
• Another kind of gift, such as property, investments or bonds
