2012 Strong Kids Campaign Kick Off

On Wednesday February 29th at the downtown Y, the 2012 Strong Kids Campaign held their annual kick-off with a fundraising goal set for $140,000. The campaign runs until December 31, 2012, and supports a variety of Y programs and services. Once again the kick-off was a great success, with enthusiastic campaign volunteers and staff chatting to members and guests throughout the day.

We are very pleased to announce that Janet Martin, Chair of the 2011 Campaign is graciously chairing the 2012 campaign for Strong Kids!

A new piece to the Strong Kids Campaign is the Strong Kids Water Bottle Campaign. At the kick-off, bottles were distributed to any interested households and families to be taken home and filled with loose change. This will encourage the spirit of philanthropy among young children, and will be a fun way for families to contribute to the campaign. Once filled, the bottles can be returned to the Y to be added to the campaign proceeds.
